Join people of faith and the wider community for an Interfaith Vigil in Solidarity with Migrants next Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm along Ala Moana Boulevard outside Waterfront Plaza (between South Street and Punchbowl Street). There is paid public parking available in the Waterfront Plaza garage.
Let's draw courage and strength from our faiths to oppose injustice and act in love for our neighbors.
Purpose and goals of event:
A moral call to stand against unjust ICE raids, family separation, and disappearances
To uplift the struggles and humanity of people affected by unjust immigration policies
To unite people in solidarity with migrants (immigrants, migrants, refugees, COFA citizens, students—vulnerable populations targeted by ICE)
To provide a space to grieve, to express and transform sacred anger
To offer hope and support, to draw courage and strength from our faiths
To remind people of faith about their duty to act
Note: We are using 'migrants' instead of 'immigrants' to also include refugees and COFA citizens.
Faith leaders are encouraged to wear traditional vestments/garb (i.e. clergy collar, stole, robe, kippah, etc.).
